Hello Neighbor!
My name is Debbie DeLoach and I have been your neighbor here in north and central Florida for over 10 years. I am also certified by the Florida Nursery, Growers, and Landscape Association as a Florida Certified Horticulture Professional. I have been an enthusiastic gardener for over 30 years and am 2nd Vice President of the Coreopsis Circle of the Gainesville Garden Club. Gardening with native plants caught my fancy 20 years ago and I am a member of the Payne’s Prairie Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society as well as the Association of Florida Native Nurseries. I have a Ph.D. in Biology with academic and research experience in bird and plant identification. Also, I have studied Environmental Landscaping under Maria Minno. Six years ago, I was trained right here in Alachua county as a Master Gardener and a Yard Certifier for the Florida Yards and Neighborhoods Program. Finally, I served as a pre-development Site Analyst for Greentrust LLC, developers of Gainesville’s very Florida-friendly neighborhood of Madera.
